From: "Keith D. Tyler" <romulus@shore.net> Date: Fri, 1 Dec 1995 12:21:45 -0500 (EST) Professional & advanced web authors are going to want professional & advanced functionality, and it is these people that are most likely going to decide the fate of CSS et al. Web authors, no matter how profesional, aren't going to having anything to play with or at least anything consistent to play with if implementors don't provide an even level of support due to varying complexity of features. Tell ya what, why don't you poll the UA vendors to see who is going to implement *everything* in CSS1 as currently specified such that they will claim to have full CSS1 support. Also find out when they are going to support it *completely*. Let us know the results. CSS1 should have nothing more in it than a majority of UA vendors say that they will support in their first release of CSS support. To quote Larry Masinter, whom I'm certain was quoting someone else, "when in doubt, leave it out." Regards, Glenn Adams
