Special session on agent-related platforms/frameworks,
systems, applications, and tools

Netobjectdays (NODe) 2004 will be an important meeting
point for the whole agent community hosting the
biggest agent-related event of this year in Europe.

As part of it we plan to organize an exhibition on
which agent-related platforms, frameworks, systems,
applications, and tools can be presented to the large
conference audience. This track seeks to bring
together researchers both from industry and academia
working on issues related to the promotion of agent
technology by means of the realization of agent-based
applications, services, products and prototypes.

Each exhibitor will have the chance to present her/his
system in a 30 min. talk in the context of a special
track dedicated to agent-related prototypes/products.
Each exhibitor/presenter will also be offered the
opportunity to publish an article describing agent
prototypes/products. The collection of selected
articles will be included in a book on agent-related
system innovations, prototypes and products. The book
will be published as a volume of the "Whitestein
Series in Software Agent Technologies” (WSSAT) in
collaboration with Birkhäuser. More information about
the WSSAT series can be found at:

http://www.whitestein.com/pages/research/wtseries.html

The book will be edited by Monique Calisti (Whitestein
Technologies), Matthias Klusch (German Research Center
for Artificial Intelligence, Germany), and Rainer
Unland(University of Duisburg-Essen). The editors will
provide further details about the WSSAT publication
later on.

Possible exhibitors are asked to send by the end of
April, submission intention e-mail to the following
email address:

exhibition@cs.uni-essen.de

The submission intention e-mail should briefly
describe your prototype and provide a short version of
the paper’s content (~3’000 words) or a reference to
more extended information or already published papers.

Participation to the exhibition is free and open to
all registered participants to the MATES’04
conference.

Location:
Erfurt is one of the most beautiful and historical
cities in Germany. Schiller, Goethe (writer), Bach
(composer), Martin Luther and others lived here for
some time and left quite a number of their traces.
After the reunification it was affectionately
renovated and, today, is a city, which has to offer
quite a lot for everybody. More information can be
found:
