Intellidimension is pleased to announce that the 2nd Beta of RDF Gateway has been released as is available for download at http://www.intellidimension.com/RDFGateway/beta2/ RDF Gateway is a scaleable query and inference server for Windows NT and 2000. Features include: o RDFQL - a SQL-like query language with inference rules o Data services for connecting to RDF (including DAML), XML, and HTML content o A data service API for integrating data from external data sources o Federated queries against multiple data sources o Transactions o Users/Roles o In-memory operation with persistence via optional backend SQL database o Stored-procedures o A scriptable crawling service for scheduled harvesting of data o Unicode support o Client tools New features in Beta 2: o Management Console -- configure users, setup databases, schedule crawl jobs, etc. through a graphical interface (MMC snap-in). o Views -- named queries that project a relational schema onto an RDF database. OLEDB client drivers use views to produce a relational schema for client applications. This allows RDF Server to work with many applications designed to work with relational databases by providing them with a fixed schema. o Scriptable Dataservice -- allows you to create an RDF interface to an application, website, or database using your scripting language of choice. o Misc. bug fixes and performance enhancements Regards, Geoff Chappell
