QA WG, AI-20050314-03: KD to synch QA Glossary with SpecGL Glossary in one week's time The QA Glossary has been updated http://www.w3.org/QA/glossary Added * Class of Products * Dimension of Variability * Discretionary item (changed in SpecGl from plural to singular) * Extension * Extensible * Implementation * Implementation conformance statement (ICS) * Level * Module * Profile * Specification * Strict Conformance * Testability Modified (I have used the definition of Specification Guidelines to modify the definition of the QA glossary) * Conformance: Old: The ability of a product to meet all the requirements claimed to be supported New: Fulfillment by a product, process, systems, or service of a specified set of requirements. * Conformance clause: Old: A part or collection of parts of a specification that defines the requirements, criteria, or conditions to be satisfied by an implementation in order to claim conformance. New: A section of the specification that defines the requirements, criteria, or conditions to be satisfied by an implementation in order to claim conformance. * Test Assertion Old: A statement of behavior, action, or condition that can be measured or tested. It is derived from the specification's requirements and provides a normative foundation from which test cases can be built.
