We've seen the mess that patents have played in the audio and video communities. We've seen what happens when the guys with lawyers control standards. Innovation stops. Individual contributors get squashed. Its bad for everyone except the lawyers and the short term stockholders. Just say no to patents in the W3C world. -- Robert J.
