  until I read the working draft for the W3C patent policy framework I
  had always look upon W3 as _the_ source of standards for the web.
  now that the coming standards might not be free or open, I'm not
  sure what faith I have in the W3. 

  please, continue the great work you've done, like you've done it so
  far. that's what has lead the web to it's full potential. don't
  change that path.
