The W3C is dead

A patented open standard is an oxymoron: just look at the mess
created by the patents around VRRP in the free software world.

Do the varlets of the mega-corps at the W3C sincerely think it 
will work and that the Web can be taken over, without losing 
any credibility?  I guess that yes, they're stupid enough.
