It is shocking to imagine that a responsible body as the W3C would even consider such a step without heed to its long-term implications. Today when a company like Microsoft introduces a defective product with a raw socket vulnerability, it is not a cause for global concern - because the world is free to develop a dozen better alternatives. Tomorrow, that might not be the case. Are we to settle for whatever is dished out by those who hold the strings? Should the world's finest programers be reduced to the status of spectators? Is this the spirit of the new millenium? __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? NEW from Yahoo!
