RAND licensing

My position on the so-called RAND licensing
proposals is simple - it's a bad idea. Web
standards should continue to be royalty-free. If
W3C supports RAND licensing, support for W3C as a
standards-setting body will drop and the Internet
will split. RAND licensing should be seen for
what it is - a disaster.
