For sure XQueryX is in a more specific context than what the MathML Content Markup design for, just like XQueryX is in a more specific context than what the XML and URI is design for. I have no doubt that XQueryX should represent XQuery both on syntatic and semantic level and for sure it won't be a simple task. However, if everyone carry this kind of argument in the design of their work, then no one will ever use any 'another markup language', right? I hope someone will consider this issue and at least research the issues before conclude to a different route.
