Now that we have the general DIV and SPAN I think they should be extended to indicate document modifications. A DATEMODIFIED parameter would be nice to indicate the last date that a section of the document was modified. An AUTHOR parameter would be nice for documents worked on by multiple people. Although for many pages these would be of no use to the UA I think that the DATEMODIFIED flag especially would be extremely useful on pages that indicate new sections of a site, or have news items. The UA could render the page with dates in a given range. The AUTHOR flag could also be used to sort out sections by who wrote them. These parameters should not be added only for document maintenance -- that can be done with <!-- comments --> Quick question, our SGML docs haven't arrived yet, so can anybody verify if the following: <A IMG = --some comment-- "url"> is valid and functionally equivalent to: <A IMG = "url'> __ | Check Out Our HTML Editor at http://bigpic.com/mortar/ | Neil St.Laurent neil@bigpic.com | Big Picture Multimedia
