Dear W3C, my name is Michele Diodati. First of all, excuse me for my bad English. I am writing to you from Rome, Italy, according to propose my group's collaboration for an English to Italian translation of HTML 4.0. We are Liber Liber (http://www.liberliber.it), an Italian no profit association, set up by volunteers. Until now our efforts are been dedicated at Manuzio project, a very large collection of electronic books, digitized by our team and freely distributed via the Internet. We would be proud to participate at your translation project: between our volunteers, there are professors and translators, that are waiting for your approvation, wanting to begin this important job. Of course, we will give you the permission to republish our translation and distribute it without restrictions. We know that other Italian people is working at this translations. We would like to know in which way their work is going on and if we can collaborate in any way. Please, give us any kind of information about if and how we could proceed with HTML 4.0 Italian translation. Thank you in advance, Michele Diodati P.S.: please e-mail me at one or more of these addresses: diodati@mclink.it html01@e-text.it m.diodati@ediland.it P.P.S.: don't care: I am not one of our translators. :-)
