To the attention of Linked Web Storage (LWS) Team Contact, 
Pierre-Antoine Champin, and the W3C Team:

As per W3C Invited Experts, I would like to request to join the W3C LWS 
Working Group (WG) as an Invited Expert (IE). My goal is to continue 
contributing to open standards development and the broader community.

I have no affiliation. I am not supported by a financially solvent 
organization which has terminated its W3C membership.

I have contributed to the following items listed in the LWS charter:

     The Proposed LWS WG charter, as an author and editor
     Solid Protocol, as the lead author and lead editor
     Web Access Control, as author and editor
     Solid Notifications Protocol, as author and editor
     Solid-OIDC, as general contributor and reviewer
     WebID, as general contributor and reviewer
     Solid QA, as the lead author and lead editor
     Solid Security Considerations, as general contributor and reviewer

With the exception of the WebID specification, I chaired the Solid CG 
during the development of the items above. I led efforts between WebID 
CG and Solid CG to include the WebID specification in the charter, as 
it's key for the Solid Protocol.

I have participated in several dozen W3C Groups on various topics, with 
varying levels of engagement, as an individual representing a W3C 
Member, Advisory Committee representative, IE, independent contributor, 
and chair. I am a participant in the majority of the W3C Groups outlined 
in the LWS charter for coordination, and contribute to workspaces 
involving horizontal groups such as the TAG, the W3C Team, and the 
Positive Work Environment CG. I am experienced with the W3C Process, W3C 
Guidebook (including the Chair role), as well as the principles of the 
Modern Paradigm for Standards to which the W3C adheres. I have 
consistently aimed to navigate conflicts of interest, both personal and 
organisational, by prioritizing the community's needs and concerns, 
while adhering to the process and working towards consensus.

In addition to having a solid understanding of and contributions to the 
material that will be taken up by the LWS WG, I understand and have 
demonstrated the wider considerations and dependencies that would be 
useful for the group's success, for example the Web Architecture.

I have gone through the W3C Recommendation and Note publication 
processes in the past, acting as the editor/author of Linked Data 
Notifications, and Embedding Web Annotations in HTML in WGs such as 
Social Web and Web Annotation, among other published works.

I am a strong proponent of "eating our own cooking." I build what I 
(first and foremost) and others need, and use it. I have been focusing 
on exemplifying standards through the dokieli application, a 
socially-aware clientside editor for decentralised article publishing, 
annotations, and social interactions. I have provided my implementation 
experience back to standards development communities.

I have actively and consistently assisted other developers in the 
community over the years, helping them understand and implement 
technical specifications for their projects.

I have also published my Ph.D. dissertation, Linked Research on the 
Decentralised Web, that explains how open Web technologies - some of 
which as outlined in the LWS charter - can be used to create a fully 
functioning ecosystem for research communication.

Lastly, I have published a detailed documentation of my contributions to 
open standards development, in particular to the evolution of the core 
work outlined in the LWS charter (circa 2010 for WebID, 2015 for Solid), 
in an article titled Self-Review: Chairing, which you many find useful.

assess my qualifications to join the WG as an IE and to continue my 
service to open standards development.
