Quoting Tim Berners-Lee <timbl@w3.org>: > > - open -a /Applications/Amaya.app <filename> does not work. opens my Home page ... > Does amaya not take command line > args or are the args in OSX different? I suspect the latter. /Applications/Amaya.app/Contents/MacOS/amaya /path/to/filename works, and gives you OpenGL status in the terminal > Where ARE the preference files for OSX? /Applications/Amaya.app/Contents/MacOS/Amaya-9.3/doc/WX/Configure.html Amaya uses a number of default directories to store configuration information. :-( > What is looked for in the home directory? ~/.amaya/thot.rc: Contains the user preferences, changed through the Preferences submenus ~/.amaya/amaya.kb-mac: Defines Amaya keyboard shortcuts. ...Amaya-9.3/doc/WX/ShortCuts.html seems to say you massage this by hand ~/.amaya/amaya.css: Contains the user's style sheet. > - Amaya should be able to launch from a file icon or URL icon dropped > onto the Amaya icon. And once Amaya is launched you should be able to drop an html doc or url into Amaya's window and have it opened/rendered. It's only in the last couple of years I've noticed MacOS-X OSS apps starting to include these features, so I hardly missed it. But you're wanting the best of both worlds? A fully functioning CommandLineInterface and Drag'n'Drop ;-) peterk ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through University of Auckland http://www.auckland.ac.nz/
