Hi Mike, The idea in regards to the HTML WG was brought about by david dorwards suggestion that it is something that the WG charter covers. I certainly understand if this is not something that the HTML WG to be actively involved in , but it is good to get your feedback so if there is any development, its result does not upset any applecarts within the HTML WG. I agree that this will have to be driven by those that have a direct interest in providing it. > http://hsivonen.iki.fi/aria-html5-bis/ doc as a starting point > among whomever it is that you want to try to get agreement from, > modify it to match whatever consensus emerges, and produce a DTD > (if that's what you really think you need) based on that. To be honest i don't know what we need in terms of a DTD or some other mechanism, that would have to be worked out by people with a better grasp of such things . But i do think that henris doc is a good basis for defining a set of rules about how ARIA is to be used in host languages. regards stevef 2008/9/30 Michael(tm) Smith <mike@w3.org>: > Hi Steven, > >> @2008-09-30 12:25 +0100: >> >"It also flags issues based on a set of >> > rules, defined by Henri, on what constitutes conformant HTML5+ARIA >> > (for example role="document" is not allowed)" and understand the >> > concern you're expressing. >> >> I have already pinged henri on this particular issue.
