We discussed the auto complete proposal at the June 10 DHTML Style Guide
meeting. We reviewed the comments from [1]. The suggestion to have the
up arrow move from the first list item back into the textbox was accepted
and extended. The proposal now follows the model of the URL bars in both
Firefox and Internet Explorer where the arrow keys will wrap focus to and
from the top and bottom of the list after passing through the associated
textbox. There was a suggestion for a simpler description of the escape
behavior but the group opted for the existing, more detailed description.
We also discussed the note about limiting the number of list items. It
has been updated to reflect a reasonable number of items with examples.
The updated HTML is attached.
