Getting caught up on emails... What is really needed, but might not exist at the moment, is the ability to add a phonetic alphabet encoding as an accessibility attribute David, if you are not already familiar with this emergent work at the W3C, check it out, it's cool! https://www.w3.org/TR/pronunciation-explainer/ To be clear, there is little to no support in screen readers today for this, but the Working Group have been in discussions with the major SR players and the spec is evolving based on that feedback, so we all really feel it's more a question of "when" rather than "if".
