Hello Karen, George and Anna, Chaas has suggested a community group on HTML based email at https://www.w3.org/community/htmail/ Let's all join. Email seems like a good place to start. Thank You Chaas and all the rest. Special thanks to Patrick who had to put up with my dissatisfaction when he tried to help with my ambiguous first email. I think joining this group is a good start.
