Hello everyone, I hope you all had a good weekend. I had a few questions on going further with ensuring accessible video. We currently use both closed captions and transcripts on our You Tube vids. However, the transcript isn't available as an embedded video on our webpages. My thinking is that we either need to include a web link to a time-stamped, text-based version of the YouTube transcript OR use a player that incorporates both in its embedded version such as Able Player<https://ableplayer.github.io/ableplayer/>. Are there any downsides to using Able Player that anyone knows of? Or does this offer a tidier option for handling both captions and transcripts? Finally, has anyone also included links to an audio description on their webpage? I am thinking that unless non-speech sounds (such as mood music) convey most of the meaning to suggest we include as much as possible in the speaker's script. Thoughts on this most welcome.
