table markup

Has anyone else noticed JAWS double speaking table headers when they
have been marked up with the scope="col" atrributes?  I haven't noticed
this problem when tables are marked up using <th id="someid">.<td
headers="someid">.   Any thoughts or advice?  Should I not use the scope
method for table headers?
