It's just the default choice. Sometimes it is useful to get a directly-addressed message (helping draw your attention to replies to your questions, etc.). If you feel your reply is either not of general interest to the list, or not specifically relevant to the original sender, then you are free to add or delete addresses in the To & CC fields as you wish. It's your email client! Patrick
