I have just read the Australian Banker's Institute Draft Standard for Internet Banking http://www.bankers.asn.au/ABA/html/webdraft42.htm although a code of practice I think it would be found to be at least supporting material in a case of accessibility. It is in my opinion qite a fair review of web accessibility. Among other things it specificly includes reference to the W3c guidelines. quoted from it: Requirements Specifications Application (A,N) Priority Level (1,2,3) Compliance (ü,r,NA) 11.1 Compliance 11.1.1 W3C Compliance 1. Customer web sites shall meet at least 15 of the 16 W3C WCAG V1.0 (or the must current published version) Priority 1 checkpoints by 30 June 2002, either by compliance with the checkpoint, or stipulation of the checkpoint as not applicable. A 1 2. Customer web sites should meet all 16 W3C WCAG V1.0 (or the must current published version) Priority 1 checkpoints by 30 June 2003, either by compliance with the checkpoint, or stipulation of the checkpoint as not applicable. A 2 11.1.2 US Public Law 508 1. Banks and other financial institutions should comply with rules L, N, O and P from US Public Law 508 pertaining to Internet sites. A 2 Harry Woodrow
