Dear WCAG WG Participants, Please note the following two comment periods, which are closing soon, on European activities related to Web Accessibility. These comment periods have been announced previously on the WAI IG and EOWG lists, but not on the WCAG WG list, and some of you may not subscribe to the WAI IG list. As these activities could have bearing on interpretation and evaluation of WCAG, W3C/WAI encourages review and comment on these approaches. Following is more background on the organizations involved, and links to the drafts available for comment. 1. Closing **20 February 2006** (this coming Monday) CEN certification framework on Web content accessibility <http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-wai-ig/2006JanMar/0164> 2. Closing **28 February 2006** (the Tuesday after this coming one) WAB Cluster UWEM (Unified Web Evaluation Methodology) for Web content accessibility <http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-wai-ig/2006JanMar/0165.html> This draft was announced on the WAI IG list in December, though without the deadline: <http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-wai-ig/2005OctDec/0237.html> Regards, - Judy -- Judy Brewer +1.617.258.9741 http://www.w3.org/WAI Director, Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) MIT/CSAIL Building 32-G530 32 Vassar Street Cambridge, MA, 02139, USA
