Currently 1.1.6 does not require that captions and audio description transcript be collated. The could be back to back. We have a failure technique but we can't claim something as a failure if it is not required by success criterion. CURRENT 1.1.6 For prerecorded multimedia content, a combined document containing both captions <http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/WCAG20/appendixA.html#captionsdef> and transcripts of audio <http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/WCAG20/appendixA.html#audiodescdef> descriptions of video is available. [How <http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/WCAG20/WD-UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20-20060117/Overview.h tml#text-equiv-text-doc> to meet 1.1.6] Proposed 1.1.6 For prerecorded multimedia content, a combined document containing captions <http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/WCAG20/appendixA.html#captionsdef> intermixed with the audio <http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/WCAG20/appendixA.html#audiodescdef> description transcripts is available.
