Hi All, In preparation for the next draft, I've attached an HTML version of the latest round of edits [1] related to guideline 1.1. It includes the text from the guideline as well as all related definitions (many of which still need to be added). I've also included a summary of the normative issues related to guideline 1.1 [2] below, indicating where issues have been addressed and where some additional work needs to be done. Issue #170: Relates to what we want to require at what level in terms of accessibility of advertising, which is pushed to a website. Resolution: Still OPEN. This issue is dependent on decisions related to scoping. Issue #322 asks whether the level 1.1 criterion implies that a full text transcript would be required for all movies. Resolution: OPEN. This issue is not resolved by these revisions. Action: Resolve with an edit to Item C of the new level 1 success criteria 1 per Gregg's proposal? [3] Issue #401 requested that the guideline text be clarified and simplified Resolution: CLOSED. The guideline text has been reworded and simplified. Issue #465 proposed a rewording to one of the success criteria Resolution: CLOSED: the success criterion has been reworded to address non-text content that does not provide information or functionality. Issue #554 was an Access board comment that dealt with spacers and other and non-text content. Resolution: CLOSED. the success criterion has been reworded to address non-text content that does not provide information or functionality. Issue #587 includes a proposed revision to definition of text equivalent. Resolution: PENDING. This proposal has yet to be discussed by the working group. Issue #662 dealt with the differentiation between UI elements and other content. Resolution: CLOSED. This is addressed by the new text which talks about things that have function and things that convey information rather than discussing them in terms of category. Issue #744 issue summary for guideline 1.1 Resolution: CLOSED. This email completes this open action item and closes this issue. Note: A number of informative issues for guideline 1.1 [4] remain open and there are a number of terms that are referenced in the new success criterion text that still need definitions.
