PRESENT Michael Cooper Ben Caldwell Chris Ridpath Tom Croucher David MacDonald Jenae Andershonis Don Evans Lisa Seeman Charles McCathieNevile DISCUSSION We completed the discussion of the QA test framework [1]. Checkpoint 4.3, about automating testing, led to a lot of questions about what we're testing, and whether it's automatable. There is more to hash out around this but a conclusion seems to be that since we need to test the guidelines, not implemenations of the guidelines, it may not be automatable, though other parts of the testing framework such as results collection and analyis will be. Most of the other checkpoints we looked at we simply agreed we need to do. Having reviewed this document, we need to prepare feedback to the QA Working Group, and also figure out how we are going to implement it for ourselves - those are probably part of the same process. ACTION ITEMS Jenae: Finish prototype of test framework Chris: Post test files to UofT site Charles: Send Euroaccessibility testing stuff and reporting stuff Jenae: Find out what our commitment to Level 3 in a previous draft of QA framework means in current version Jenae: Pull the main WCAG group into other QA activities Jenae: Send draft QA PD around Michael: Make response to QA WG about our responses to the document REFERENCES [1] http://www.w3.org/TR/2003/WD-qaframe-test-20030516/#gl4 --- Signature --- Michael Cooper Accessibility Product Manager, Watchfire 1 Hines Rd, Kanata, ON K2K 3C7 Canada Tel: +1 (613) 599-3888 x4019 Fax: +1 (613) 599-4661 Email: michaelc@watchfire.com Web: http://www.watchfire.com/
