Re: Introduction of Yi-Jen (Lucy) Hsu

Hi Shawn,

I will go through all the general information about participating in EOWG and start reading the WCAG 2.1 as a reviewer in the very beginning. After that, I think I can do the WAI resources translation. I will do my best.

All the best,

Lucy Hsu

Digital Accessibility Specialist

Hi Yi-Jen,

It am especially excited to hear about your interest in translating content into Chinese (Traditional).

Currently the W3C Authorized Translation of WCAG 2.1 into Traditional Chinese is in-progress. If you would be interested in contributing to that as a reviewer, please see the e-mail thread:
https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-translators/2023JulSep/0018.html
and reach out to the lead translators in the To and CC.

Additionally we are currently focusing on translations of other WAI resources[1]. We have translations in Simplified Chinese <https://www.w3.org/WAI/translations/#simplified-chinese>, and not yet Traditional Chinese.

If you are interested in translating WAI resources, please let us know with a simple e-mail to:
        group-wai-translations@w3.org
And we will get in touch in the coming weeks.

Best,
~Shawn

I just know that I was doing the right thing and felt great. After a career break, I decided to start my career in accessibility. I, therefore, got Graduate Certificate in Accessible Media Production, DHS Section 508 Trusted Tester Certificate, and CPACC from IAAP. Now I am a Digital Accessibility Specialist at AbleDocs. My role focuses on but is not limited to web and mobile app accessibility testing.

I enjoy sharing knowledge with people, the experience gives me ideas about working on web accessibility education. Also, I am able to translate the web content into Chinese (Traditional) for people who don't use English. I believe everyone should have equal opportunities to access digital content. To make the digital world fully accessible is a long way to go but little by little, we can make it better.
