Re: Spanish translation of "http://www.w3.org/Amaya/"

Hi Joan Xavier,

It must be a mistake in the URL of your translation (http://www.browsersdoc.org/Amaya/). 
I've followed the link you provided and I've got a "MP3 Download, music, mp3 downloads" 
page instead of the Amaya's translation. Could you, please, send the correct link?

I would like to clarify our offer. The SIDAR's translators group is working 
only in the spanish localization of the Amaya software not in the spanish 
translation of the pages under w3.org/Amaya. But since these pages 
are related to the Amaya software it would be far convenient that the 
same terms used for the spanish localization were used in the translation
of these pages, so we are offering Joan the chance to get their translations
reviewed by the members of SIDAR translators group that are working
on the localization. 

If different terms are used for the spanish localized version of Amaya and 
the translated pages, that could lead users of the software to confusion.


So, we invite Joan to contact us once the translation is finished to begin 
the review process.

Dear Joan and Fernando

My understanding (and please, do correct me if I'm wrong) of the exchange  
below is that the SIDAR group of people are working on localizing the  
software Amaya into Spanish (in order to make the software available into  
Spanish), and that Joan Xavier is translating the web page at  
http://www.w3.org/Amaya/

Fernando was inviting Joan Xavier to collaborate in the localization  
project, in addition to the translation into Spanish of the web page at  
http://www.w3.org/Amaya/ .

It seems possible that Joan Xavier thought the group was inviting him to  
collaborate on ongoing work for translating the web page at  
http://www.w3.org/Amaya/ (which is not the case, nobody before Joan Xavier  
wrote to w3c-translators to indicate intention to translate it).

Joan Xavier, to be explicit, there is no problem with your translating the  
web page at http://www.w3.org/Amaya/. Kindly let us know on  
w3c-translators@w3.org when you are done. And if you see any interest in  
joining the initiative of translating into Spanish the software Amaya,  
then, please, do write to Fernando.

I will let you guys reply, if needed, off-list. Of course, let me know if  
I may be of any assistance.
