Hello, The WG2 (Web Accessibility International Standards Research Working Group) of Information Technology Research and Standardization Center (INSTAC), Japan, plans to translate the Last Call Working Draft of "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0" [1] and "Understanding WCAG 2.0" [2] into Japanese. In order to promote earlier feedback, the translation of the WCAG 2.0 LCWD will be temporarily made available on a Web site by the end of this week, and it will be officially made available on the INSTAC Web site later. The translation of "Understanding WCAG 2.0" will follow. There will be a workshop to study the WCAG 2.0 LCWD on 7 May 2006 in Tokyo, Japan [3], and these translations will be used to help participants better understand the WCAG 2.0.
