As might have been predictable, this is taking longer than I thought. In case anyone wants to start reading, Im keeping the current version (being updated by the minute) at http://www.coginst.uwf.edu/~phayes/RDF%20Model%20Theory_Oct_draft.html New material and substantive changes are marked in red. Right now things like the boilerplate, contents list , index, etc. , and the internal aref links are a mess, so ignore those. But if anyone has any objections to any content in red, feel free to chirp. Purple text, obvious gaps, and @@ markers are all things I know need work. I would be particularly interested in comments on the treatment of datatypes with badly-formed lexical forms, in section 3.4. If it makes you want to scream, bear in mind that I have to make them denote *something*, and it seems like a good idea that they not denote anything that could possibly be a literal value. Section 4.3 will have some entailment examples for datatypes (in a couple of hours). I deleted the old section 4.3 : it seems to have caused some confusion and it didn't really say anything in any case. If anyone feels that there is too much explanatory padding in this document that is now made redundant by other docs, or belongs elsewhere, then please suggest edits.
