That's what I believe IETF-based attempts to define an object architecture are likely to run right into the bet-the-company efforts being done by IBM (SOM), HP (Corba), Sun (corba), Microsoft (COM/OLE), Digital (ObjectBroker?), etc. I'd try to avoid objects if at all possible. /r$
