Gilbert Pilz <gilbert.pilz@oracle.com> Sent by: public-ws-resource-access-request@w3.org 01/17/2011 06:59 PM To "public-ws-resource-access@w3.org" <public-ws-resource-access@w3.org> cc Subject silly MEX question WS-Mex says of [Body]/mex:GetMetadata/mex:Dialect When this repeating OPTIONAL element is present, the response MUST include only MetadataSections corresponding to metadata specified by the combination of the QName, Identifier and Content attributes of each of the Dialect elements. For each Dialect element if there is no metadata for that combination of attributes then the response MUST NOT include any MetadataSections for that Dialect element. Then it says of [Body]/mex:GetMetadataResponse/mex:Metadata The body of the response message MUST contain one mex:Metadata element as defined in 4 Web Services Metadata Collection. The obvious question is, what if mex:Dialect specifies a combo that you don't have (although you support that combo) any metadata for? Are you supposed to return an empty mex:Metadata element in the mex:GetMetadataResponse? ~ gp
