The Web Services Addressing Working Group has agreed [1] to advance to Last Call on the following documents; Web Services Addressing 1.0 - Core <http://www.w3.org/TR/2005/WD-ws-addr-core-20050330/> Web Services Addressing 1.0 - SOAP Binding <http://www.w3.org/TR/2005/WD-ws-addr-soap-20050330/> The review period for both documents begins immediately, and will end on May 11th, 2005. In particular, the Working Group solicits feedback from the Web Services Description, Web Services Choreography and XML Protocol Working Groups, as well as the TAG. The Working Group believes that these documents satisfy the relevant requirements set out in our charter [2], as documented in [3] (the one issue identified there was subsequently dealt with). No formal objections have been received. The Working Group does ask for feedback regarding the extensibility model of Message Addressing Properties; see the Core's Section 3 for details. Patent disclosures regarding these documents, if any, can be found at [4]. Note that, as per the W3C Patent Policy, publication of these Last Call Working Drafts begins a second exclusion opportunity, with a duration of 60 days. Working Group participants have until May 30, 2005 to exclude any claims made essential by these documents that were not included in the February 15, 2005 drafts [5][6]. 1. http://www.w3.org/2002/ws/addr/5/03/28-ws-addr-minutes.html#item07 2. http://www.w3.org/2004/09/wsa-charter 3. http://www.w3.org/mid/eb73ddfd9cc120e067120164051d6fb6@bea.com 4. http://www.w3.org/2004/01/pp-impl/36696/status#specs 5. http://www.w3.org/TR/2005/WD-ws-addr-core-20050215/ 6. http://www.w3.org/TR/2005/WD-ws-addr-soap-20050215/ -- Mark Nottingham Principal Technologist Office of the CTO BEA Systems
