However, we literally have millions of pages and we won’t rewrite them all, at least not in phase one.

We will need to understand the logic of the proposals.

We have no requirements yet and therefore are open to suggestions.

No, unless the discovery phase in order to determine the best information architecture determines that it should.

No, this is for a future phase.

Probably both but we are not aware of industry practices when it comes to a website redesign.

We have no requirements there either and turn to you to propose what makes sense.


End user specifications

8. What devices, screen sizes, browsers and browser versions are to be catered for?
Can a list for planning, development and testing purposes be provided?”

Probably not. Our motto is to lead the Web to its full potential, and another motto we use more and more is “Making the Web work, for everyone”. That includes all devices and screen sizes, on any hardware. I can’t tell about browsers or browsers versions.


Change management & deployment process

9. "Is any change management processes used at W3C?
If so what are they and what are the normal time frames?”

I don’t understand the question.
We are however able to track down any change to the website and who performed it, going back 25 years.


10. Is there a staging environment available?

Not that I’m aware of.


11. Is there a UAT environment available?

Not that I’m aware of.

I don’t know. Our systems team will be able to help.

We prefer open source. We are open to suggestions.
