Hey people, Just an update about the situation and follow up with Ryan's note. I also have to apologize about the delay of the status update because I did update in an other mailing list and forgot to send it here. What happened had no visible impact on the web site and therefore was totally transparent. The mentioned server is up since yesterday and I have made backup copies of the essentials. Everything is up to the normal. Renoir ~ On 2013-08-08, at 12:02 AM, Ryan Lane <rlane32@gmail.com> wrote: > HP cloud has some issue with reboots, which leaves them down for very long periods of time. I had intended for us to create new instances using ubuntu 12.04, point the load balancers at them, then delete the old ones. Rebooting is dangerous if you do more than one at a time. > > > On Thu, Aug 8, 2013 at 3:13 AM, Renoir Boulanger <renoir@w3.org> wrote: > Hello people > > I am sorry to say that I think I made a big mistake. > > Prior to use salt-cloud as per Ryan recommended me, I was getting error messages and I thought: let's update the softwares. > > I wish I hadn't. > > Is there anything I can do to recover that I cannot guess? > > I am so sorry! > > Regards, > > Renoir Boulanger | Developer operations engineer > W3C | Web Platform Project > > http://w3.org/people/#renoirb ✪ https://renoirboulanger.com/ ✪ @renoirb > ~ > > > > >
