I think Stuart raises a very good point. And that is that disruption is not only hard, but unlikely, in an incumbent dominated space. The c. 10,000 developers working on bitcoin *might* make a difference. Time will tell on that one. I do like your point that there are many unintended consequences to the work that gets done.
