At https://github.com/w3c/WebID/issues/3, 3 of the 4 involved agreed to
narrow the option space to 3 options - none of them being the one you
describe above. The 3 options are those in the Kingsley put in a table
here: https://github.com/w3c/WebID/issues/3#issuecomment-898969571
All 3 of us agreed that we preferred option #3 among those options:
* For both servers and clients, require nothing, but recommend JSON-LD
(and recommend no other serialization formats)
Can you be persuaded to say "recommendation" instead of "default"?
