Thank you Christopher for a heads up.
Not sure what happened or why - the recurrence was set to weekly, and start/stop times of the meeting were fine, but the duration of each event [presumably automatically calculated by Outlook] was set to 2451 hours!
I resent the invitation with the corrected duration time, should be fine now.

This seems to have booked *every* day between those dates. At least in my version of Outlook.
