Hi, since there seems to be nobody prepared to work on moving the "version 1" specification for XMLHttpRequest to Recommendation, it is not a deliverable in the proposed new charter of the group. Meanwhile Dominique Hazaƫl-Massieux has indicated that he is prepared to do the work of moving it to Note status, with an indication that work has stopped. This is a Call for Consensus on the following proposition: Publish the XMLHttpRequest version 1 specification as a W3C Note, indicating work has stopped. Either replies to this email thread, or a simple +1 / -1 on the github issue https://github.com/w3c/XMLHttpRequest/issues/2 are requested before the end of Wednesday October 5. Silence will be considered assent to the proposal. cheers Chaals -- Charles McCathie Nevile - web standards - CTO Office, Yandex chaals@yandex-team.ru - - - Find more at http://yandex.com
