I agree WDs should be published if the ED has had what I'll call "relatively substantial" changes (since its previous publication in /TR/). However, I generally don't support publishing new WDs if changes are only non-substantive. I don't closely monitor the progress of all of WebApps' specs (~40 if widget specs are included). My expectation is that group members will contribute to their priority specs and if/when someone (and not just Editors) thinks a new WD should be published, they should propose so on this list. At the same time, we must also acknowledge our Editors have other priorities besides editing thus non-Editors that want a new WD published should be willing to help out if some minor editorial work is needed (e.g. updating the Status of the Document section). -Thanks, AB
