Hi All, A couple of comment to the Widgets 1.0: View Modes Media Feature document [1] 1) "all" value What about the behavior of UA in case "all" is specified in CSS? Does it mean that the UA must pick any other view-mode and set it or does it mean that we do not care about the combination of the properties (current text)? My opinion is that UA must pick up one value and set it. This would match the proposed behaviour for VMIF [2] wrt ViewModeChangedEvent. Otherwise, there seems to be no mode and the point 2) applies. 2) How many view-mode values do we foresee? The properties of the presentation mode generate many possible values, the value of view-mode is actually just a selector of a specific combination. Currently the values are as follows: Chrome: yes/no (2) Transparency: yes/no (2) Overflow: visible/hidden/scroll/auto (4 values [auto selects 1 of 3, though]) Size control: user-agent/widget (2) Interactivity: yes/no (2) Initial width and height: used/ignored (2) These are 7 bits altogether, 128 distinct combinations. On the other hand we have 4 distinct view-mode values. Question: Do we allow other combinations of the properties? If so, how do we handle the proposed ViewModeChangedEvent (possible issue for future)? Maybe - instead - we should define some new set of media features, like: size-control, interactivity; or drop some of the properties to be very exact?
