kvnloo left a comment (w3c/pointerlock#98) For games, converting raw counts into screen coordinates loses one useful property: stable physical mouse sensitivity. Native engines commonly reason in device counts and let the game apply sensitivity independently of OS pointer acceleration/display scaling. It may be worth exposing enough metadata to distinguish raw device counts from screen-space movement rather than forcing `unadjustedMovement` into the adjusted coordinate model. A cross-browser experiment with identical hardware at multiple OS scaling settings would make the tradeoff measurable. -- Reply to this email directly or view it on GitHub: https://github.com/w3c/pointerlock/issues/98#issuecomment-5941898150 You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.
