I know what I'll suggest for my case if we close it (go with DOMString - using text to say "these will all be drawn from (enum over there) or a future extended version of it" in one case and "these will all be text representation of small integers" in the other). I don't have the use case of passing these things into an API, so my suggestion there wasn't based on any existing use case.

Result should be indistinguishable after converting to JS, so there's no code incompatibility if we later revisit the issue.

So yes, that works for me.
