This is the 29 March - 5 April 2013 edition of a “weekly digest of W3C  
news and trends" that the W3C Communications Team prepares for the W3C  
Membership and public-w3c-digest mailing list (publicly archived [1])  
[sent separately]. This digest aggregates information about W3C from  
online media, a snapshot of how W3C and its work is perceived in online  
media.

Notably this week :

- 600 stories about W3C on Twitter in 7 days.
- over 1700 mentions of W3C in 7 days, with a small peak on 2 Apr (324  
mentions), the top story on that day was the launch of Meritora, the first  
implementation of PaySwarm, developed in the Web Payments Community Group  
<http://www.w3.org/community/webpayments/>.
- 14 posts that dlvr.it posted between Mar 24 - Mar 31 got 26.9K clicks  
and reached 67.5K connections.
- With 58360 Twitter followers, net increase of 459 followers in the past  
week.
