Weekly digest of W3C news and trends: hgroup dropped from HTML5, W3C at GSoC 2013, HTML5 Powers next Zimbra release, …

This is the 5-12 April 2013 edition of a “weekly digest of W3C news and  
trends" that the W3C Communications Team prepares for the W3C Membership  
and public-w3c-digest mailing list (publicly archived [1]) [sent  
separately]. This digest aggregates information about W3C from online  
media, a snapshot of how W3C and its work is perceived in online media.

Notably this week :

- 700 stories about W3C on Twitter in 7 days.
- over 1900 mentions of W3C in 7 days, with a peak on 11 Apr (650  
mentions), the top story on that day was Webmonkey’s article “W3C Drops  
'hgroup' Tag From HTML5 Spec”.
- 15 posts that dlvr.it posted between Mar 31 - Apr 07 got 27.2K (+20.9%)  
clicks and reached 68K (+0.7%) connections.
- With 58856 Twitter followers, net increase of 496 followers in the past  
week.
