Re: Socialnetworks of a person or organization

As Thad's so in speaking his mind I thought I'd give it a go as well,
because I am one of those every day web developers who's trying to make
sense of it all.

Being a non-illuminati I think simple. The description of sameAs mentions
about the item's identity. Now for me my 'identity' isn't defined by a
Youtube channel where I share random stuff I like on the web. I am no
@VideoGallery, I'm me, a real life person and not a collection of videos.

In my mind Freebase, Wikipedia, LinkedIn, DUNS, NAICS, taxID and what not
more all have to do with identity but not my freaking Youtube channel.

So even if 'me' represents a corporate entity, than 'my' Vimeo channel
probable tells something about the Services or Products I offer. Now I bet
that in some philosophical way one might say this all represents parts of
the identity of the item but that's not how I look at it as somebody who
marks up websites for a living.

So sameAs as a way to link to something that "unambiguously indicates the
item's identity" makes sense.

(online/has)/Account/DontCareJustGiveMeSomethingToWorkWith to point to
Facebook, Youtube, Pinterest, G+, etc. makes sense as well to me.

I just know I want a working solution because now I have nothing to work
with at all. Or should we simply stop the discussion and simply declare
multiple @url properties? Yes, No, whatever you decide, keep it simple and
obvious and I'm sure it will work just fine.

Oh and since it seems speaking your mind is going around in the group I
want to pull another thread into the mix.

asked for a solution to have a
MedicalProcedure/Product/Service/WhateverYouLike to be able to link to a
video about the same entity. So to epress it simple: a Product which has a
VideoObject showing the Product. A question just as 'simple' as 'how do I
link my site to my Youtube channel'.

Now as simple questions like these - from a 'everyday' web developer's
point of view - seem to be able to get the proverbial kettle to boil over,
I was wondering if you could tackle the video question in here as well, so
you can have one MEGA discussion for about two more years, before giving
the everyday guys just 2 shiny new properties.
