Hold up, Mike and Orie are right, the history here is important and there's an easier way to do this -- just transfer the CCG repo and rename it once it's transferred. HOWEVER, we need to follow W3C process before doing that. We have CCG input documents w/ history, PRs, and issues intact, let's not break all of that by only merging the histories. The right order of operations here, IMHO, is to not create new repos in the WG, but to transfer the existing repos from CCG. I'll also note that we need to do the FCGS release process to move those items over from CCG to VCWG: https://www.w3.org/community/about/process/final/ To do that, we need two things: 1. A resolution from the VCWG to pull in the CCG documents, and 2. A FCGS release from the CCG for the specifications. There's a process here designed to ensure that the IP agreements follow the contributions to date, let's follow it. Not doing so exposes the WG to a variety of IP issues that the W3C Process is there to protect against. MikeP, let's raise this as an agenda item for the CCG call today. We need to get this ball moving for all CCG documents. -- manu -- Manu Sporny - https://www.linkedin.com/in/manusporny/ Founder/CEO - Digital Bazaar, Inc.
