5. Main Topic: European Digital Credentials for Learning introducing Accreditation validation

Presenter: Ildiko Mazar, PM for the European Digital Credentials for Learning

Accreditation: The new version of the EDC Infrastructure will allow for the issuance of accredited credentials. Accreditation provides an additional level of verification on top of the e-seal, allowing issuing organisations to link their credential template to a specific accreditation – whether at the level of the organisation or at the level of a specific qualification (dependent on the system in place in each country). This feature will allow those viewing an EDC to directly see whether it passes the accreditation check, where this is applicable.
