Not really normal -- governor has asked everyone to stay home, MIT is closed and public transit will be closed. However, hopefully people will have dug out by Monday afternoon.

in my opinion it is winter and snow is “normal” – as Peter outlined the weather forecast  indicated snow for Friday and Saturday, but sun for Sunday and Monday. And temperatures are expected to rise to about 40-44 degrees F (approx. 5 C)

Therefore, we should be calm and look towards the important f2f meeting next week.
