Hello, We have final locations for the f2f. Thanks for your patience while we waited on details. January 24th: Morning meetings in Beaulieu Afternoon meetings in Centre Borschette January 25th: Berlaymont January 26th: Berlaymont Changing buildings midday on the 24th is not ideal, but we are a large enough group that it took a bit of juggling to accommodate us during a busy time. Berlaymont is lovely: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berlaymont_building All three buildings are all on subway line 5. Beaulieu is at the Beaulieu station; Centre Borschette and Berlaymont are at the Schuman station. On the 24th we will take the subway six stops from Beaulieu to Schuman with a 5 minute walk to Centre Borschette (the other two buildings are nearly on top of their subway stations.) We'll all go over as a group. An annotated map follows. For hotels, the easiest thing to do is to book a hotel near the Schuman subway stop. I picked B-Aparthotel Ambiorix http://b-aparthotels.com/ambiorix This is very easy walking distance to the subway and to Berlaymont. Priceline is advertising $123USD. It's not large enough to hold all of us, and by no means where you "should" go -- you are free to stay anywhere you like. I'm just sharing what I found. Similarly, it would be hard to beat the Holiday Inn Brussels Schuman for location, which looks to be about $270USD a night. If you are looking for something with nightlife and fun, you might prefer a hotel in the City Centre area. Just look for a hotel near subway line 5 and you will be fine for transit. There are many options. Another plus to City Centre is proximity to trains if you have time for additional travel. For pointers on seeing Brussels, try http://wikitravel.org/en/Brussels Thanks to Thomas and our hosts at the European Commission for their work putting this together! Aleecia Potentially useful details -- Subway line 5 list of stops: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brussels_Metro_line_5 Map of subways: http://mapsof.net/uploads/static-maps/brussels_metro_map.png Street addresses: Beaulieu: Avenue de Beaulieu 27 1160 Auderghem, Belgium /* I'm guessing on the building number as 27 as a reasonable map point within the complex of buildings there */ Centre Borschette: 36 rue Froissart, 1040 Brussels, Belgium Berlaymont: Rue de la Loi 200 1049 City of Brussels, Belgium
